OOURS

OOURS is the ERP and Inventory Management (merchandise-management) product from sinobit GmbH, headquartered in Norderstedt near Hamburg. The company was founded in 1999 and built its reputation over more than two decades as the most prominent supplier of Mac-capable business software in DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), previously under the McBüro brand. OOURS targets the German Mid-Market SMB segment with a notable cross-platform footprint: native clients on Mac, Windows and iOS, built on a FileMaker-based architecture. The product's dual positioning — generic SMB ERP plus several long-tenured vertical specialisations — is uncommon in the DACH market and a legacy of the long McBüro customer relationships.

Functional scope

OOURS combines classical merchandise management with modern CRM and office capabilities in a single integrated platform. The modular architecture lets customers grow from a lean invoicing-and-CRM setup into a full Inventory Management with inventory, financial accounting and project management. The product covers quote-to-invoice, customer and supplier management, inventory and warehouse, basic production for assemblies, project accounting, time tracking and document management. ZUGFeRD and XRechnung e-invoicing are supported in line with the German B2B e-invoicing mandate.

Cross-platform architecture

The single most distinctive feature of OOURS is genuine native support for Mac, Windows and iOS. Where almost every other DACH Mid-Market ERP is Windows-first, OOURS uses a FileMaker-based architecture that delivers native clients on all three platforms with feature parity. For agencies, studios, publishers and small specialist businesses that have standardised on Mac hardware, this avoids the painful workarounds (VMs, Citrix or Parallels) that other ERPs would force on them. The OOURS Mobile app on iPhone and iPad extends master data, orders and customer information to field-service and external sales scenarios.

Target audience and verticals

OOURS targets small to medium-sized companies in DACH. The legacy McBüro customer base gives it unusual vertical depth in publishing, graphics, agencies, trades, services and small manufacturers. This breadth means OOURS competes both with generalist SMB ERPs (Lexware, sevDesk, weclapp) and with vertical specialists for trades and publishing — with the cross-platform support and FileMaker-based customisation as the main differentiators.

DACH localisation and compliance

OOURS is Made-in-Germany software with German development, support and hosting. GoBD-compliant document archiving — GoBD being the German principles for proper digital bookkeeping — is part of the standard product. DATEV export (DATEV is the cooperative of German tax advisors whose data format is the SME finance-exchange standard) is supported through dedicated connectors. Role-based permissions, multi-tenant operation and revision-safe document archiving are standard. Hosting can be on customer premises, in the customer's data centre or with specialist FileMaker hosters in Germany; for GDPR-compliant data-processing arrangements, German hosting is the default choice.

Vendor and selection

sinobit provides consulting, implementation, training and support directly, supplemented by a partner network in the FileMaker ecosystem. The small-house structure delivers personal accountability and short lines of communication; the trade-off is a smaller resource base than a major ERP vendor would offer. OOURS was awarded the Innovationspreis-IT 2017 for Schleswig-Holstein and carries the BITMi Software-Made-in-Germany 2023 seal. Licensing is available as classical perpetual licence with maintenance, or as a subscription/rental model; the platform competes with Lexware, sevDesk, weclapp and vertical specialists.
