Häufig gestellte Fragen

How were the professors selected?

We looked for internationally active professors whose research and teaching have an evidenced ERP / enterprise-systems focus – for example the authors of the leading ERP textbooks, those running ERP labs, or highly cited enterprise-systems researchers. The list is deliberately a positive, factual curation, without rating or ranking. If an important person is missing, we welcome a note via our contact form.

Why without assessment and ranking?

For individual people we deliberately refrain from judgements or rankings – unlike for organisations, which we label neutral vs. vendor-adjacent. This is about orientation on who researches and teaches ERP academically at an international level. We therefore state only facts: university, role, focus and relevant works.

What is this list useful for?

It helps you make sense of the international academic ERP landscape – for research partners, studies, textbooks or well-founded sources beyond the vendor perspective. Several of the professors listed wrote the standard textbooks or run ERP labs and simulations. The professors in the German-speaking region are on a separate page.
