Is there still a big ERP trade fair in the German-speaking region?

The classic ERP/business-software fair in the old sense barely exists any more – „IT & Business“ in Stuttgart was discontinued and CeBIT ended in 2018. In their place have come focused specialist congresses, such as the vendor-neutral CBA – Congress on Business Applications (successor to the Aachener ERP-Tage) or Austria's ERP Future conference. Added to that are large user events like the DSAG Annual Congress and industrial fairs like HANNOVER MESSE, where ERP topics take up plenty of space.

How should the events be interpreted?

We transparently label the character of each event: „vendor-neutral“ (open congresses and fairs), „user group“ (e.g. DSAG, independent of SAP), „vendor event“ (one vendor about its own product) and „association/media“. That way you can see the perspective an event speaks from. Neutral congresses are suited to a market overview, vendor events to product depth.

How did we select and verify the events?

We researched ERP-relevant trade fairs, congresses and events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and verified each one individually: does it still exist, when is the next edition, and how strong is the ERP connection. We deliberately did not include discontinued classics. The major international ERP fairs and vendor events are on a separate page.
